Wisdom Tooth Pain
The tooth in the very back of your mouth is known as a wisdom tooth, and for many people, these teeth cannot grow and become impacted, or stuck, in the gum. This situation is serious, as it’s possible to get an infection, resulting in tremendous pain.
Having the tooth (or teeth) extracted by a dentist is the only solution. Again, it’s important you see a dentist immediately, however, for short term relief, take over-the-counter pain medication and rinse your mouth every few hours with a solution of 1 glass of warm water and a tsp of salt to help ease inflammation.
You may also need a prescription for antibiotics to further prevent infection. Call the office now and a highly-trained member of our professional staff will help you.
